The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, tracking, or advertising scripts. Its pages, fonts, and scripts are all served from externalcontrollayer.ai, so reading the site does not send requests to other companies.

Like most websites, the server that hosts this site may keep standard request logs, such as the address a request came from, the time, and the page requested. G-14 uses such logs only to operate and secure the site.

Links to other websites, including the share links at the end of some pages, take you to those sites, whose own privacy policies apply.

The self-check, the practice tool, and the buyer’s checklist

The self-check, the practice tool, and the buyer’s checklist keep your answers in your browser’s local storage so that they are still there when you return. They are not sent anywhere. Clearing the answers in the tool, or clearing this site’s data in your browser, deletes them.

Messages to the editor

Suggestions, corrections, and other messages are sent by email. Your email address is used only to reply about what you sent, and it is not added to any mailing list or used for G-14’s business. Your name is published only if you ask, and a written answer may quote what you sent without naming you unless you agree. The Get involved page describes how submissions are handled.
